Day 1: Munnar to Delhi – Arrival & Drive to Agra

It starts with an exciting trip with your starting point at Munnar where you board the flight or train to Delhi. Once you are at the Airport or the railway station at Delhi, our tour representative will welcome you to Agra, and will assist you in beginning your journey. The highway leads you along the Yamuna Expressway, a six-lane highway, which makes the journey comfortable. In the process, you will get to see green fields, villages by the roads, and small towns that provide an insight into the life of North Indians.

Once in Agra, check in your hotel and rest after a very lengthy journey. In the evening, go out and make a brief visit to the local markets. Agra is also known as the destination of the marble inlay work, leather work, handicraft, and the sweet Agra Petha. Day 2: Full Day Agra Sightseeing – Taj Mahal & Mughal Heritage

Get up early and have a once-in-a-lifetime experiencefo the sunrise view of the Taj Mahal. It is a magical experience indeed to see the monument illuminated by the initial rays of the sun and something each traveler does not forget all his/her life. The Taj was constructed by the Emperor Shah Jahan as a representation of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, but this is more than that, and it is, in fact, a classic representation of love and beauty.

Spend some quiet time in the Taj after which you go back to your hotel and have breakfast. Then continue sightseeing by visiting Agra Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage. It is a large red sandstone fortress that has beautiful palaces, meeting rooms and open spaces where the Mughal emperors used to live. It provides a real image of the might and way of life of the Mughal leaders.

The next place of interest will be the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, also referred to as the Baby Taj. The monument was erected by Noor Jahan as a tribute to her father and is, to this day, acclaimed as a great piece of marble carvings and design, which it is commonly regarded as a prototype of the Taj Mahal.

Day 3: Excursion to Fatehpur Sikri & Departure

Have breakfast and leave your hotel and drive to Fatehpur Sikri which is approximately 40km. Emperor Akbar constructed this historic city and used it as the capital of the Mughal but temporarily. It is currently a UNESCO World Heritage Site with spectacular monuments of Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, and the tomb of Salim Chishti. Strolling over this abandoned city is like going back in time to Mughal history.
