Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar – Transfer to Rishikesh

Take a train or a bus to Haridwar in Dehradun or Delhi, and begin your journey to Rishikesh. Enter your hotel and have a quiet afternoon at the Ganges River. During the evening observe the serene Ganga Aarti ceremony of Triveni Ghat – a religious experience that will warm you to the remainder of your Uttarakhand journey.

Day 2: Rishikesh Sightseeing and Adventure Activities.

Explore the major attractions of Rishikesh, such as Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Neelkanth Temp and quiet ashrams along the riverbed. In case you feel like having some adventure, then river rafting, cliff jumping or nature walks can be a good idea. End the day in a fashionable cafe overlooking the Ganges.

Day 3: Rishikesh to Mussoorie (Approx. 75 km)

Breakfast, then drive to Mussoorie, the Queen of Hills. Upon arrival, walk and check in at Mall Road. Further on, visit Gun Hill Point, Camel Back Road and the Mussoorie library locality. The cold climate and ancient houses are a pleasant contrast to the hot desert of Jaisalmer.

Day 4: Mussoorie Local Attraction.

Begin the day at Kempty Falls, where a short walk and a breathing of the cool mist should be had. See Company Garden, Mussoorie Lake, and the Eco Park. When you are adventurous, take a ride on a ropeway or walk up a hill or two on a short guided tour to pleasant viewpoints.

Day 5: Mussoorie to Dhanaulti (Approx. 30 km)

Take off early to Dhanaulti, the place where there is not much noise like the other hill stations. Upon arrival, visit the serene Eco Park and afterwards Surkanda Devi Temple. There are deodar and oak trees that cover the area and make it ideal in terms of meditation, easy nature walks and photo taking.

Day 6: Dhanaulti to Kanatal (Approx. 20 km)

Go on to Kanatal with its apple orchards and beautiful valleys and cool mountain air. Go sightseeing or go on short walks in the afternoon. You may also cross the valley, do ziplining or have a guided forest walk. Kanatal is peaceful and family- and couple-friendly.

Day 7: Kanatal to Haridwar/Dehradun (Approx. 90–100 km)

Retrain to Haridwar or Dehradun, where you will be leaving. Spend your time looking around the large temples of Haridwar or wandering through the market and cafes of Dehradun. During the last evening, have a drink and be relaxed before you go home.

Day 8: Departure

Get out of the hotel and head to the railway station or airport to get to Jaisalmer or keep on moving. Your 8-day Uttarakhand tour concludes with new mountain memories.
