Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar & Dal Lake Experience.

Reach Srinagar Airport and go to your houseboat or hotel. As soon as you see the Dal Lake, its floating markets, and the picturesque mountain scenery. Evening, take a peaceful ride in Shikara and observe the life on the lake. Then walk the boulevard later and then retire to sleep.

Day 2: Srinagar Local Sightseeing & Mughal Gardens.

Begin the day by exploring the renowned Mughal Gardens- Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi, which have terraced lawns, fountains and seasonal flowers. Next stop Shankaracharya Temple where one can have a panoramic view of the city. Go to the old-city market and discover the local handicrafts, pashmina shawls, spices and traditional jewellery. Go to bed and have dinner back to your hotel.

Day 3: FullDay Excursion to Sonmarg (80km)

You are going to Sonmarg to-day, the Meadow of Gold. The valley is bordered with high mountains, glaciers, and forests of pine. You can take a ride on ponies, stroll towards Thajiwas Glacier or rest on the banks of the Sindh River. The beauty of the natural scene is undisturbed and makes it a favorite in photography. Exploration, travel back to Srinagar and stay overnight.

Day 4: Srinagar to Gulmarg (115km) – Gondola Ride Adventure.

Post breakfast, go to Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful hill resorts in Kashmir. The town is also known to have natural meadows, pine forests and adventure sports. The primary tourist attraction is the global-renowned Gulmarg Gondola that brings you to the Apharwat Peak. Look forward to spectacular scenery of snow-white mountains and cold air. Sightseeing and leisure time, then spend the night in Gulmarg.

Day 5: Gulmarg to Pahalgam (140 km) – Nature & Valleys.

Quit Gulmarg, drive to Pahalgam which is the Valley of Shepherds. By the road you can pass saffron fields or local markets. At Pahalgam, one can visit Aru Valley, which is a quiet place with meads and hills. Travel to Betaab Valley, which is renowned with scenic backgrounds and river side sights. Take a leisurely stroll by the Lidder River at the end of the day and then settle in your hotel.

Day 6: Exploring Chandanwari & Village Walks in Pahalgam.

Take one more day and enjoy the beauty of Pahalgam. Go to Chandanwari, which is a beautiful place and has patches of snow during the colder seasons. It is where the Amarnath Yatra begins and provides serene sceneries without people. Further on, have a relaxing stroll around the village, communicating with the locals, and looking at the classical Kashmiri houses. Go back to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 7: Pahalgam to Doodhpathri (95 km) – Hidden Jewel of Kashmir.

Departed to Doodhpathri, a minor, though beautiful, meadow, with a great deal of green hills and running brooks. The serene atmosphere and picturesque landscape make it the perfect travel place of those travellers who prefer quiet and uncongested places. Take a stroll in the meadows, have picnic snacks or just take in fresh mountain air. In the evening, come back to Srinagar and stay there.

Day 8: Excursion to Yusmarg (90 km) – Meadows & Forest Trails.

You are going to Yusmarg to-day, a peaceful meadow with its alpine forests, and its mountains covered with snow. It is ideal to walk, take short walks, and relax by the river. The destination provides a cooling change of outlook as opposed to other favorite destinations. Having spent time in Yusmarg, head to Srinagar where you will spend the last night in Kashmir.

Day 9: Departure from Srinagar to Ajmer.

Breakfast and then check out to Srinagar Airport. Kashmiri souvenirs like spices, wooden handicrafts, papier-machee art or shawls can also be picked up depending on your schedule on a flight or a train. Go back or fly to Ajmer, and end your memorable holiday in Kashmir.
