Detailed Jaisalmer New Year Tour Package Itinerary Tour Itinerary
Day 1: New Delhi – Jaisalmer (Overnight Train/Flight)
Start your trip from New Delhi to Jaisalmer by overnight train or flight (depending on your booking). Enjoy the beauty of sleeping overnight to find yourself awake to the splendor of the golden city of Rajasthan.
Day 2: Arrival at Jaisalmer
Upon arrival in Jaisalmer, our representative would receive you and escort you to the hotel to check-in. Rest for a while. Evening outing to Gadisar Lake, a peaceful spot very famous for its beauty and old temples located surrounding the lake. Boat ride is feasible here. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Jaisalmer Fort and Local Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast, proceed to the wonder Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quilla), a World Heritage Monument made of yellow sandstone, which glows red in sunlight. Explore Jain Temples and the Maharaja's Palace inside the fort. Also, explore the Patwon ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli, and Nathmal ki Haveli, and admire the fine carving and Rajasthani architecture. Explore local bazaars renowned for mirror work fabric, puppets, and souvenirs in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Jaisalmer – Kuldhara – Sam Sand Dunes
Breakfast, followed by day excursion to the hidden abandoned town of Kuldhara. Drive on to Sam Sand Dunes, and reach your desert camp. Enjoy a traditional welcome with camel safari in sand dunes in the evening. Nightlife consists of folk dance and music, bonfire, and Rajasthani dinner under open sky. Overnight desert camps at Sam.
Day 5: Desert Tour and Village Sightseeing
Wake up early in the morning at the desert and take an early morning jeep safari (optional). Post breakfast, it is feasible to go for a visit to the nearby desert villages like Khuri or Lodhruva that are renowned for their temples and village landscapes. Free time in the afternoon for relaxation at the camp or go for a quad biking and sandboarding experience (optional activities). Free time in the evening to view cultural shows again or just gaze at stars. Overnight stay at the desert camp.
Day 6: Sam – Tanot – Longewala – Jaisalmer
Breakfast and early morning outing to Tanot Mata Temple, situated on the Indo-Pak border, renowned for its war history pertaining to the 1971 war. Then, go to Longewala, the site of ancient war memorial where the Battle of Longewala took place. Take a look at the museum and bunkers to spend an informative day trip. Return to Jaisalmer in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Jaisalmer Free Day
Free day to explore the city at leisure. You can opt for a heritage walk tour, enjoy Rajasthani food at your choice of restaurants, or visit art galleries and cultural centers. You can even indulge in a spa experience at your resort. Overnight stay at Jaisalmer.
Day 8: New Year's Eve Celebrations at Sam
After a leisurely morning, again to Sam Sand Dunes for the grand gala New Year's Eve. Check-in to your luxury desert resort or camp. Live folk music, DJ, fire-dance, puppet show, and grand gala dinner in the evening. Welcome the New Year by a bonfire, with fireworks illuminating the horizon of the night sky above the dunes. Day 9: Jaisalmer City Shopping and Exploration
Breakfast, and then return to Jaisalmer and shopping. Spend the day at Bhatia Bazaar and Sadar Bazaar for antiques, embroidery material, and traditional jewelry. If time permits, add Vyas Chhatri, a lovely cenotaph complex ideal for a sunset photo. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 10: Jaisalmer – New Delhi

- 45 days before travel, no cancellation will be charged.
- 30–45 days before travel: 20% cancellation charge, or you can use it in a future booking similar to or more thanthe current value amount
- 7–30 days before travel: 40% cancellation charge.
- 0–7 days before travel or no-show: 100% of the booking amount will be charged.
- In case of force majeure (natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions), alternate arrangements will be offered. No cash refund in such cases.
