Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad & Local Heritage Attractions

Get to Ahmedabad, the cultural hub of Gujarat. Go to your hotel and begin your sightseeing in the old city. Explore the popular Sabarmati Ashram, visit the old Pol lanes, or visit the Utensil Museum or the Calico Museum of Textiles. The history of the city, bustling markets, and vibrant food scene will predetermine your visit. Stay overnight in Ahmedabad.

Day 2: Ahmedabad to Vadodara (110 km) & Palace Tour

Breakfast, then head on 110 km to Vadodara, a city known for its royal heritage and schools. Visit the large Laxmi Vilas Palace, which is one of the largest privately owned homes in Asia. In the afternoon, visit Sayaji Garden, Baroda Museum, and Kirti Mandir. Vadodara is a blend of past and present convenience, suitable for families or honeymooners. Stay overnight in Vadodara.

Day 3: Vadodara to Statue of Unity (95 km) → Transfer to Surat (150 km)

Begin the day by taking a small tour to the Statue of Unity, which is the tallest statue in the world. Take a tour of the viewing gallery, visit the Sardar Sarovar Dam, and take a stroll in the Valley of Flowers and the laser show. In the evening, drive to Surat. Surat is also called the Diamond City because it has crowded streets, good food, markets and a peaceful riverside. Stay overnight in Surat.

Day 4: Surat to Gir (260 km)—Wildlife Experience

Following breakfast, go to Gir National Park, where Asiatic lions are found. Check in at your hotel and then spend the evening viewing the countryside of Gir. It is also possible to go on a nature walk, visit a tribal village or get ready to go on a safari in case you come early. Spend the night in Gir National Park.

Day 5: Gir Jungle Safari & Drive to Somnath (80 km)

Take a wildlife safari in the Gir forests in the early morning. Look at lions, leopards, deer, and also a great number of birds. Following the safari, go to Somnath, where there is a renowned Jyotirlinga temple on the Arabian Sea. During the evening, attend aarti, and then see the light and sound show regarding the glorious past of the temple. Stay overnight in Somnath.

Day 6: Somnath to Dwarka (230 km)—Temple & Coastal Journey

Then have breakfast and proceed to the coast to Dwarka, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India. See Dwarkadhish Temple, Gomti Ghat, and Rukmini Temple, and also walk through the silent streets surrounding the shrine. You can spend an evening in Dwarka Beach or Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple and enjoy a calm sunset there. Stay overnight in Dwarka.

Day 7: Dwarka Sightseeing & Transfer to Ahmedabad (220 km)

Begin your day by going to the Beyt Dwarka Island that you can access by ferry. It is there you will hear of Lord Krishna. Go back to Ahmedabad later. Come in the evening and walk along the gorgeous Sabarmati Riverfront, or visit a local restaurant and enjoy Gujarati cuisine. Stay overnight in Ahmedabad.

Day 8: Departure from Ahmedabad

Eat a good breakfast and prepare to go home. Whatever you see during your 8-day visit to Gujarat as a continuation of your Meerut visit will leave you happy as you visit temples, wildlife, royal palaces and the coast.
