Detailed Dwarka Somnath Tour with Gir National Park Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad – Spiritual and Cultural Introduction
Reach Ahmedabad and get into the hotel. Having had a shower, begin your journey in Gujarat, by visiting Sabarmati Ashram, where you will be able to experience stillness, simplicity, and the atmosphere of the freedom movement in India.
Then, later, there is Adalaj Stepwell, a fine specimen of complex carvings and Indo-Islamic work. During the evening, have a slow stroll at the Sabarmati Riverfront, and then proceed to a Gujarati restaurant and have dinner. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 2: Ahmedabad – Dwarka
Post breakfast, visit one of the four major pilgrimage Char Dhams, Dwarka. Take flight, spend your night in the hotel and have a rest. Day 3 - Dwarka – Bet Dwarka – Nageshwar Jyotirlinga
Begin by paying a visit to Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, which is one of the twelve holy Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva. The darshan is followed by a brief ride in a boat to Bet Dwarka.
Tour of the temple of Bet Dwarka and its surrounding shrines. Go back to Dwarka and pay a visit to Rukmini Devi Temple. Evening is free to visit the local markets to buy the souvenirs and religious objects. Overnight stay in Dwarka.
Day 4: Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath
Breakfast and then drive to Somnath. Pay a visit to Kirti Mandir, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, and Sudama Temple at Porbandar. Proceed to Somnath, stay at your hotel and in evening go to Somnath Temple at Arabian Sea. Day 5: Somnath – Prabhas Patan – Gir National Park
In the morning, go to Triveni Sangam, Prabhas Patan, where there is a confluence of three holy rivers. Take time and relax at the ghats and then go to Gir National Park.
Arrive and stay in a forest lodge/hotel close to Gir. The evening is at liberty to rest and appreciate the calmness of nature. One night stay in Gir national park.
Day 6: Gir National Park – Jungle Safari Experience
In the morning, a brilliant jeep safari within Gir National Park with professional forest guides. The safari will enable you to see the Asiatic lions, leopards, deer, and various birds.
Go back to your hotel and have a breakfast and a rest after the safari. During the afternoon you can happen to visit the local tribal villages or walk in the forest. Evening is free. Overnight stay near Gir.
Day 7: Gir National Park – Junagadh
Drive to Junagadh, a historical city with religious sites after the breakfast. Pay a visit to Uparkot Fort, an old fort which has stepwells and Buddhist caves.
Subsequently, there is Mahabat Maqbara, which is an Indo-Islamic building. Evening is at liberty to visit local bazaars. Overnight stay in Junagadh.
Day 8: Junagadh – Diu
Breakfast and then travel to a quiet seashore Diu. Get into your hotel and have a rest. See Diu Fort, the Church of St. Paul and the Church of St. Thomas with Portuguese influence. During the evening, stroll through Nagoa Beach and have a view of the sunset in the sea. Overnight stay in Diu.
Day 9: Diu – Somnath
